Colorado River District Reveals New Name And Logo For Its Funding Program

Learn more about water issues in the Colorado River Basin in next week’s evening webinar

Glenwood Springs, Colorado —The Colorado River District announced updated branding for its new funding program after the passage of ballot question 7A. Previously called the Partnership Project Funding Program, the newly-named Community Funding Partnership showcases how the program advances the River District’s mission to safeguard West Slope water and to keep West Slope communities thriving into the future.

In addition, the Colorado River District released a revised application. Application materials will now require a completed budget worksheet that can be found on the Community Funding Partnership website. Previous application versions without the budget worksheet will be accepted until June 15, 2021.

The Colorado River District’s Community Funding Partnership was created in 2021 to fund multipurpose water projects on the Western Slope in five project categories: productive agriculture, infrastructure, healthy rivers, watershed health and water quality, and conservation and efficiency. Funding for the program was approved by Western Colorado voters as part of ballot question 7A in November 2020. These funds provide a catalyst for projects that are priorities for residents in the District to receive matching funds from state, federal and private sources.
