Who We Are
The Colorado River District is a 15-county special district in Western Colorado. Our mission is to lead in the protection, conservation, use, and development of the water resources of the Colorado River basin for the welfare of the District, and to safeguard for Colorado all waters of the Colorado River to which the state is entitled. Each staff member at the District contributes to this mission, serving constituents across Western Colorado.

Director of Interstate and Water Resources Engineering
The Director of Interstate and Water Resources Engineering provides technical engineering, scientific expertise, advocacy, and project management support for multiple projects. Working closely with members of the leadership and policy team, the position focuses on interstate matters and water supply planning and acts as the primary technical resource on interstate matters. Position will typically involve significant travel throughout the District’s 15-county territory, within Colorado, and occasionally out-of-state.
Hiring Salary Range: $125,000 – $190,000
